Elise's first visit from the Toothfairy

Sunday as we were eating dinner Elise took off running "I need a mirror, I need to look, I need a mirror!" Then from the bathroom we heard this scream. She had lost her first tooth AND
swallowed it. She was so upset she didn't have anything for the toothfairy and asked Daddy if he would pay her. He did. She had another loose tooth right next to the last and has been wiggling it for days. Yesterday she said "This tooth really likes me." Today it finally came out. She was so excited to tell Shane when he got home from work. Now she finally has a tooth to give to the toothfairy.

It's the day before christmas and dad's not at home.
The kids are all restless ,
and trashing the home.
We're bored, we're excited, we just can not wait
When will Santa come and eat the cookies on the plate.
He'll be here tonight when you go to sleep,
So go make your beds, make sure they have sheets.
The kids hurry off,
They look like mini tornadoes.
They picked up their rooms, and make their beds
Then they looked out the window and one of them said.
The wood for the fire!
It's still outside under that tree.
Then quick as they could they all grabbed an arm full
And brought it inside for dad to see.
Then they quited down ate dinner and said,
goodnight mom, goodnight dad,
Were going to bed.
The house was now quiet as it can be.
And we alone sat and looked at the tree.
Then I woke up it was only dream.

Merry Christmas to me!

So if you've looked at the pictures on my blog you can see I was clearly in need of a new camera. I finally got one and was so excited to use it for the kids sing-a-long. I should have known from the start that it would not work out. First when they delivered the camera they left it outside in a snowstorm and a sign saying camcorder facing the street. DUH!!! When I called them because the camera was actually frozen they told me to bring it to room temperature and then charge it. I did and it works. YEAH!!! Next Hayden gets sick on wednesday and had to stay home from school. I had to work thursday when the parents got to come and see the kids sing so I didn't see them. So I told them I would come on friday during the school one and record them. Friday 1am Elise starts throwing up followed by Adam and then Shane got sick. I made 4 trips to the school to get Hayden and Corben singing. I got nothing because I was pulled away everytime. Pour Hayden was heartbroken. I got him singing by himself at home in his cute marshmellow hat. I hope next week is better.

Stars are yellow

Two stars are in the sky

How many are there?

I don't know

Who knows?

But they twinkle.

I Love Christmas!

Christmas is coming...

I know it has been a long time since I have posted anything. Things have been moving at the speed of light.
Corben is now twelve years old and a Deacon. Time flies so fast. He is playing the violin and has his first concert this year on Dec. 11th. I can't wait to see him preform.

Adam is having fun is school and enjoys reading books.

Hayden loves everything about school and thinks his teacher is great. He like to move, I wish I could hear the music in his head.He is also very into playing football.

Elise, that is what she wants to be called now, loves school too. She has 2 teachers this year and lots of friends. She is also very much a daddy's girl and likes to watch football with him and wear matching jersey's.

All the kids are participating in a sing-a-long at school on Dec. 18th. They are all singing the cutest songs. I love working at the school so I can see them grow and change everyday.

Shane is working hard everyday and I love him for all that he does for us.

That' all for now. If I get video of them singing and Corben playing I will post it.
Happy Holidays

Remember when...

I know your not big on your birthday, but Happy Birthday Shane.
I love you.
Remember when your kids wanted to cuddle...
Remember when your kids wanted you around...
Remember when they did what you asked without back talk...
I miss those days. Welcome to pre-teens!

In video games all I have to do is pull a button
to catch a fish.

Corben's first fish.
Adam had a blast catching fish with grandpa.

Touching it was a little weird.
